Hannah T. Anderson
Biography
Hannah Anderson graduated from Drake Law School in December 2021, with a certificate in Constitutional Law and Civil Rights. She took the Iowa Bar Exam in February 2022 and was admitted to practice in April of the same year. While in law school, Hannah was a member of the Student Bar Association and served on the executive boards of both Drake Law Women and Delta Theta Phi. During her last year of law school, Hannah practiced law as a student attorney at the Drake Legal Clinic, where she handled several family law cases from custody disputes to guardianships to divorce cases. During law school, Hannah also clerked for an employment and civil rights law firm in Des Moines.
Hannah attended Central College, where she majored in Sociology and Political Science. During college, Hannah received the Art Bosch Research Fellowship and spent a summer researching gaps in the Iowa foster care system with attorneys, judges, and social workers. From a young age, Hannah knew that she wanted to spend her life helping others, but it was during a college internship with the Department of Human Services and through volunteering as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) that Hannah realized she wanted to become an attorney and use her voice to advocate for people as they walk through difficult life experiences.
In her free time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her (very large) family, attending Civic Center shows and checking out area restaurants with her husband, traveling frequently with her friends, playing with her adorable shih tzu puppy, Beans, and attending as many live music events as possible (she’s been to over one hundred concerts!).
Hannah feels very fortunate to be working with the team at FLS Iowa. Since joining Family Law Solutions, Hannah has been involved in several divorce, custody, modification, domestic abuse, and termination of parental rights cases. Hannah believes in focusing on the individual story of each of her clients, realizing that no two cases are exactly the same. Hannah is a competent and clear communicator, and she approaches each of her cases with empathy, attention to detail, and a willingness to think creatively to problem solve complex case issues.
